Judy graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2009. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2011. She is a Senior Associate with the Matrimonial, Probate and Wills Department and her areas of practice include Divorce and Annulment (all matters relating to children, matrimonial assets, cross-border / multi-jurisdictional issues in divorce and post divorce matters), Adoption and Guardianship, Trusts, Wills and Probate and applications under the Mental Capacity Act and International Child Abduction Act. She is also an Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre.
Judy was also involved in the case of Lian Hwee Choo Phebe v Tan Seng Ong  3 SLR 1162, a suit involving a determination by the Court of Appeal of what is considered an agreement made in contemplation of divorce that falls under s112(2)(e) of the Women’s Charter. She also successfully argued one of the first few applications of the return of a child that was kidnapped in a foreign jurisdiction under the International Child Abduction Act. She is also involved in various pro bono projects. She is a volunteer lawyer for the Family Court Legal Clinic and a volunteer mediator for the Small Claims Tribunal.
