Palaniappan chose law because of his keen interest in that field and the challenges it offered. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1988 and subsequently obtained his Master’s Degree in 1994. He served as Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel prior to joining Straits Law. Palaniappan handles complex litigation matters. In the recent past, he has handled a number of medical negligence cases, insurance claims and trade disputes.
In addition to practice, he also actively participates in academic work. He updates and edits legal works including Atkin’s Court Forms and Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore.
